Hardware junkies and nerds around, I have purchased a new computer and I’m here to share the specs with you. (And advertise the sale of my old one) So first off, old specs.

OLD SPECS:
Antec 900 gaming case w/ 850 Watt OCZ power supply
Intel Q6600 Quad Core OC’d to 3.0GHz (Thermaltake Ultra-120 w/ fan cooling)
4GB OCZ ReaperX PC2-6400 (4-4-3-12-1T)
EVGA 680i SLI motherboard
2 X 8800GTX 768MB in SLI
2 X Samsung spinpoint F1’s in RAID 0

It’s still a very powerful computer, and I’m looking at getting about $900 out of it.

Coolermaster HAF 932 Full Tower w/ CM Silent Pro 1000W power supply
Core i7 930 (Was 920, but this was cheaper) (Stock cooling for now)
12GB G.SKILL PC3-12800 (7-8-7-24 @ 1.35v)
EVGA X58 SLI LE Motherboard
Sapphire Radeon 5870 1GB
2 X 120GB OCZ Agility FW1.5 in RAID0

Total cost: $1880 after tax and shipping.
Expected delivery date: Thursday
Hours of sleep anticipating its arrival: 0

Browsing through reddit one day, I came across one about parental advice. One of the comments hit me as genius.

“wow. my dad’s advice when i was 18 was “a good looking guy like you should hang out at Hotel bars on weeknights. all the out-of-state business women come into town horny as hell.”

Seriously, that’s clever.

Another comment in the same string:
My mentor mentioned the same thing. Told me to forget about women my age. “they don’t know anything. 30-40. You’re a good looking kid, you could score big in that age group. And they’ve got know-how.”

Advice I will pass on to my kids if I have any.

Wordpress is awesome, easy and customizable. Yet there are a billion things I don’t know about it yet. I’ve gotta learn some php so i can customize shit.

New website design here. I will be using this mostly to just fuck around with web development.
