Like All

Like almost all websites on the internet, one must fall. This happens to be one of those.

The responsibilities of keeping the ezine staff in check (not really that hard, they do the work themselves) and making sure everything is going smoothly in my life have overshadowed what I can do on this website.

I knew this day would come. Since it's taking up almost no resources I'll leave the website up as a reminder of what I accomplished for over a year. If I remember correctly, I started this and kept it going since February 2008.

I didn't get many fans, but then again, I didn't do anything to separate me from the rest of the gaming websites.

In closing, I link you to the following websites for CouchAthletics.com
Couch Athletics - The greatest gaming community on the internet
Couch Athletics Couchcast - Something I helped create. I don't talk much, but what I say is usually important.
Couch Athletics Quarterly ezine - My greatest achievement as a writer and a help to the community. Thanks to all the staff, especially MelonCat for all the hard work and the very professional layout.

Oops

Apparently I forgot to turn the server back online after a power failure.. I no longer have it hooked up to my battery backup because I just don't care about it anymore. :P

no wonder

I wondered why my laptop computer was stupidly slow at loading even the most basic of operating systems..
Turns out the hard drive was only 4200RPM. Damn cheap shit.

So I figured I'd look into either getting a new SSD for it or just a 7200RPM laptop drive..
Right now newegg has a 64GB SSD for $130.. I'm conflicted.
I mean, 64GB SSD @ $130+tax/shipping vs. 320GB Seagate Momentum @ $79+same.

I think I like spending money too much.
I need to go lie down.

Chicago

Fuckin' right! I'm having a blast here in Chicago. So far the most fun I've had was going to Medieval Times last night. I wouldn't have had so much fun if it wasn't for the group of people I went with. I cheered and cheered until I almost lost my voice and clapped 'till my hands were numb. The 14 of us REALLY getting into it probably boosted the cheers and jeers enough for our knight to win because our BLACK AND WHITE KNIGHT WON!!
The food wasn't bad and I had a massive amount of beer. That probably helped out a lot with me being open enough to cheer. I've never been to something like this and I love reading about the medieval age (Like actual history.) I had a fucking BLAST. It's the most fun I've had with a group of people in a long fucking time. We all got the King's package so we got a tour of the torture museum, a behind the scenes DVD, two group pictures and front row seats.

And, it's all people I met on the internet. I had talked to these people on ventrilo for over a year and seen pictures of them. I never thought I'd actually go to a party consisting of people entirely of people I've never seen before in real life. I hope this happens every year. However, I've spent a lot of fucking money. It's going to take me forever to pay this shit off.

!!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!

FUTURAMA IS BACK IN PRODUCTION!!!!!!

As described in the following article, I consider this "wondergasmiclicious news"!

On another note: I start my trip to Illinois tomorrow! I also applied to the Group Health Center for a job.
So when I get back, I could have an interview waiting for me or since I worked there already, a new job.
For my trip to Illinois, I got travel insurance from CAA, and man was I surprised. Only $16 for a week. That way if I get fucked up and need to be hospitolized or something, I don't have to pay four million dollars to have a broken finger treated. :D

I'm both excited and nervous. I hate driving extreme distances.
